I had a bad experience with the Hydrating Cleanser as well and went back to my SA one. :(. It broke me out, and so do the Cerave moisturizers. [–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points 2 years ago (2 children). I've had other people use and and they also enjoy it. It was awful :(, [–]Shadow-Of-Hades 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (8 children). I convinced a few people to switch to CeraVe though haha, [–]justminnie 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (2 children). I’ve been using CeraVe Hydrating cleanser for the last 9 months and I haven’t had any problems. I have the cerave hydrating body wash and I may just use that to try in the interim. I’ve switched now to the SA renewing cleanser, and I’m using the hydrating cleanser on my shoulders and back. [Shelfie] My new DIY setup for my skincare! It broke my moisture barrier, went back to Cetaphil for oily skin and it cleared up. I basically never use a separate makeup remover, the only time I can remember needing to is when I used a KVD liquid liner it couldn’t get it all. [–]RefractiveSandwich 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child). [–]justminnie 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (6 children), How do you like it compared to Cetaphils face cleanser? I’m 19 now and switched back to the CeraVe hydrating cleanser a little over a week ago along with starting curology and my skin is clearer than it’s ever been. Before, I am ashamed to say it, I was using Neutrogena. The hydrating cleanser is just that it is more hydrating. I tried it, I was looking for a less expensive alternative to my favorite, Dermalogica's Essential Cleansing Solution. I live in Florida, and I do apply hyaluronic acid as well every once in a while. Same thing happened to me. Same here! I need 3-4 products daily which I can easily fit in my daily schedule unlike what I initially felt my skin would end up needing (like 6-8 products). Innisfree Bija trouble foaming cleanser. [–]sasha_says 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children). Yay!! I used it and the next day I ended up with 2 cystic pimples starting in an area of my face I don't normally get pimples. Including their eye cream. ... CeraVe. Hopefully it works out for you :) let me know how it goes! [–]koalapants 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child). I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I do have rosacea. Alternative to the hydrating cleanser is the more expensive Paula’s Choice Resist cleanser for dry skin. I think I'll be adding at most two other products, one being a different chemical exfoliating pad and a serum/lightweight moisturizer for when winter comes and my skin needs additional hydration. Cetaphil gentle cleanser did the same thing. I've heard that some people react badly to it, so it's a matter of spot testing, [–]ADCaMilk 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (1 child). I heard they recently changed the formula upon acquisition by L'Oréal unfortunately :/. [–]afro__diteesensitive like my feelings 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (1 child). Daily skin care regimen AM & PM. Thanks so much for the rec! Not a good fit for me. If you’re taking off sunscreen use an oil or balm first. Yup! [–]FDHuynh[S] 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (1 child), I believe it is the Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser! Once you get used to the runny snot texture and lack of foaming it does a nice job and it’s quite mild. Maybe I'm allergic to an ingredient but I use many products with similar ingredients and have never had the reaction I have with the hydrating cleanser! I doubt the Cerave cleanser is the cause of any dehydration. Lets start with I have very very sensitive skin. :( I wanted it to work so bad, [–]FDHuynh[S] 77 points78 points79 points 2 years ago (6 children). Thanks in advance, sorry if this is a super basic question, [–]FDHuynh[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (6 children), Are you sure it wasn’t just CeraVe in the tub? It's not very exfoliating to be honest, the clarisonic does all the work so I can't praise Exuviance much in that department. [–]natashaalexandra 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (1 child). Both this and the Neutrogena ultra gentle creamy formula cleanser a lot of people recommend made my face red. Nope you aren’t! Korean skincare always saves my skin. [–]londoncuppa 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (3 children), Yay, so glad to hear this! I haven't had any reactions with either product, luckily. CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer that helps hydrate the skin and restore its natural barrier. I'm in South America and can't get CeraVe here but I do have access to La Roche Posay. Tbh no one on this sub knows how choose the correct flairs and the mods don't give a shit either. [acne] What 2020 taught me: my no-mask wearing skincare routine is way different than mask-wearing routine! ALSO, you can buy a bigger bottle on Amazon for like, $4 CHEAPER than the smaller bottle you can get at like Ulta. [–]rote_Fuechsin 31 points32 points33 points 2 years ago* (2 children). COSRX Snail Essence. [–]FDHuynh[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (1 child). glad the CeraVe works for me. Toleriane burned me as well. I used CeraVe hydrating for a long, long time (7+ years)- loved it-but my skin has been changing a lot over the past couple years so it just stopped working. [–]xPawreenhave u checked the sidebar 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (0 children). Then I ran out and switched back to the hydrating cleanser. It worked when I used waterproof clump crusher mascara! [–]Obscene_Symphony 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children). I wanted to do an in depth review after a while, when I could be sure my routine actually works well over time. LRP cleansers are far better IMO. My skin is very sensitive and prone to allergic contact dermatitis from fragrance and 'botanicals', and I'm glad CeraVe doesn't have any of that garbage. [–]FDHuynh[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children). Well, a few days ago, I purchased the hydrating cleanser, and wow, this is my new HG! I'm in a similar boat. I swear it gave me bumps on my cheeks too, or it at least made them look worse. The hydrating cleanser is what I started with in January and it made such a huge difference for my skin! What used to work for me no longer works. People tend to either love or hate their products. Really? I love the Stratia one but Cerave is so much cheaper and performs almost as well. [–]FDHuynh[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (7 children), Honestly I never buy drugstore stuff at Ulta because of the up charge! I don’t care for the cleansers personally. It’s definitely a great affordable cleanser though, especially for dehydrated skin. It's time to say hello to their Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser, designed for normal to dry skin. Cleansers. I don’t wanna risk it. Nooo haha. Both of those didn’t work for me at all. I might switch back to the hydrating if I can ever get my skin cleared up, which as of right now seems kinda impossible but I’m trying to stay positive. [–]thecatspajaamas 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (2 children), It didn't work for me either! More so than the hydrating cleanser I would say. Glad it works for you though, that's very convenient! ARE A FICKLE ALLY. I LOVE this cleanser! I use about two pumps meanwhile I use half a pump in the Foaming. I will so be trying this tonight! It was after the company was sold. This cleanser manages the oil and makes me feel fresh. Hopefully you have products that work for you though! or do you apply the hyaluronic acid on dry skin? Strange! It’s HG for me, but Clinique just released a hydrating jelly, so I’m trying that out next! I would pay for prime but I’m broke so :)), [–]Paroxysm111 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (1 child), I really like their facial Moisturizer! [–]sammijo235 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (2 children). CeraVe Hydrating Hydrating cleaner So don't get pregnant, maybe? A while back, the hydrating cleanser was my favorite. Switched to the fragrance free Spectro and really like it so far! I will have to try Paula’s choose next if I don’t like the La Roche-Posey cleanser I bought. [–]koraat 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children). I had the exact same reaction, [–]GuardCats 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (2 children). [–]thighlight 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (2 children). [–]FDHuynh[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child). [–]momtog 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children). I also use there daily facial moisturizer. Saved a whole 1.7 OZ! I love this cleanser too! The foaming one from CeraVe does great job with taking off makeup, but with the morning routine - I've got a little of a problem - I think it's too harsh, hence the hydrating cleanser. I love the texture of Stratia’s and it makes cleansing a more enjoyable experience. I’ve never used the CeraVe foaming cleanser, but I did use the LRP. This is my favorite cleanser, I have been using it for years and have never wanted to try something else. I hated it. Cerave dried me out. [–]zombies-- 15 points16 points17 points 2 years ago (5 children), I would keep on using it if i could, but it has 3-4 fungal feeding ingredients :(, [–]FDHuynh[S] 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children), [–]theDecbb 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (1 child). My pores clogged like crazy and it made my face look SO oily for the entire day. [–]Michymakeup 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (7 children), I have so many cleansers I need to use up, but I'm so tempted to just purchase the CeraVe hydrating cleanser anyway.
